Jolene came over to the 12 Bar Club after finding out about this legendary club while over in England in support of Hootie & the Blowfish and here OnlineTV.com captured their intimate show for Rick Siegel
Who are Jolene (the band)
Musicians from Charlotte, North Carolina, where the band calls home, this Americana music band left a mark on the music world. In 1995 Jolene signed with the major label Sire Records eighteen months later. With Sire, they released their second LP In The Gloaming in 1998. The band expanded to a five-piece during this time, with the addition of multi-instrumentalist Rodney Lanier.
In 1998 Jolene supported Hootie & the Blowfish on their final UK tour, playing the last show on October 31, at the Shepherd’s Bush legendary Empire in London.
1999 found Jolene joining Blue Rose Records, and they released two albums on that label. They also appeared on the OnlineTV.com Internet broadcast network from their club in the UK, 12 Bar Club. They did an resounding set of just over an hour and now it can be yours to enjoy.

John Crooke and Dave Burris are currently involved with the LA-based band Lamps.
Rodney Lanier died on December 9, 2011, from cancer, at the age of 44
