The sweet harmonies that Yukari leads are predominant and the way she belts out her songs is stunning. With Andy Cox (Fine Young Cannibals and The Beat) keeping the show moving and grooving you have a power j-pop band that just keeps bringing great music to fans.
Getting up on the tiny stage at the 12 Bar Club in London is no easy feat when you have so many in the band and it is hard to get a good shot of the whole band. Lucky for us we followed them in the next few days as the went to the first annual Epping Forest festival. Who is Yukari Fujiu 藤生ゆかり
The lead singer of an all girl Tokyo band The Groopies she went on to do two solo albums. As a songwriter she wrote several gold record hits for other Japanese artists.
Who Is Andy Cox
The Fine Young Cannibals were a British rock band formed in Birmingham in 1984 and consisted of bassist David Steele, guitarist Andy Cox (both previously in The Beat), and singer Roland Gift. In 1990 Fine Young Cannibals won awards for Best British Group, and Best British Album.
