Who Is Grant Olding

A multi-instrumentalist, working out of his studio in Kent, UK Grant has composed and orchestrated animated feature films, sitcoms, documentaries, rom-coms, Shakespearean productions, contemporary plays and commercial musical theater. He is known for his holistic understanding of drama and ability to flit between many musical styles.

Tony nominated and Drama Desk Award winning for his work on ONE MAN TWO GUVNORS composer Grant Olding has been writing music for film, television, theater and dance for the last sixteen years.

Grant wrote the score and songs for the animated film SAVING SANTA starring Martin Freeman, Tim Curry, Joan Collins and Ashley Tisdale. Going on to write the scores for I WANT MY WIFE BACK and UPSTART CROW for the BBC as well as MARLEY’S GHOSTS for UKTV Gold. Grant Olding can be heard in countless productions of plays around the world. “Guvnors” saw Grant leading the four piece skiffle band The Craze and he can be heard playing and singing lead vocals on the original cast album. Richard Bean’s dangerously funny satirical follow up GREAT BRITAIN (NT/Haymarket) was also scored by Grant and marked his eighth collaboration with director Sir Nicholas Hytner.
