Terri Hendrix takes the stage with her songs and rhymes, Lloyd Maines accompanies her, as she rocked the room. Watching the gig you just get a warm, comfy feeling as Terri expands the songs with touching interludes of life’s travails and history. Terri was coming to the 12 Bar stage on the last leg of a UK tour with a gaggle of Texans who gifted us with some of the best music one can imagine. There is this comfy spirit with the bands, as if they were friends singing songs at your barbecue. Terri Hendrix brings warm poetic verse accompanied with inspired rhythm and blues artistry that will always get you to tap your feet and feel the pulse.

These days she does great work with the OYOU (“Own Your Own Universe”) a non-profit center for the creative arts located in San Marcos, Texas. The OYOU is an all ages fully handicapped-accessible multi-purpose creative arts center that provides a variety of workshops and projects.

accompanies Terri and is a legendary steel guitar man. It matters not, laptop, stand up, pedal steel, guitar, dobro, banjo, he is there. Lloyd Maines has been listed in Guitar Player magazine as one of the top pedal steel players in their annual Reader’s Poll and has played on numerous hit records with the Maines Brothers Band and Joe Ely.
