Tara Angell Goes To London 12 Bar Club
I present two distinct videos of Tara Angell as she went to the UK back in 1999. The first is “Tara Angell Goes To London” and that is the complete video of Tara as she recorded for OnlineTV back in the day. It has he up at the apartment she stayed in, along with another musician, street scenes including outside the 12 Bar Club on Denmark Place, standing in Tin Pan Alley, and shooting a video of the apartment where Jimi Hendrix lived and died. There is a high price of admission for this trip.

The second is “Tara Angell at 12 Bar Club” which is just the set itself at 12 Bar Club. This video was shot by her friend for OnlineTV and they had switched the settings to night vision (infrared) and never changed it. So the set is infrared and sort of black and white. I am not sure why she did not have our cameraman shoot this, but that was decades ago. This is well worth the price of admission.
Who Is Tara Angell
Tara Angell’s classically poignant songs mix a Southern Gothic tradition of dark humor with diverse lyrical influences which include Flannery O’Connor and James Purdy. Her roots from listening to Neil Young and classic rock n’ roll groups of the ’70s, in particular Deep Purple and Creedence Clearwater Revival. Her songs ring with a deep and sensitive tone as they come from a life spent in New York City’s underground culture, which is where she has lived for many years. When I met Tara she was actually a bar tender at the Spiral Lounge. We all loved her.
While Tara has been compared to other acclaimed female artists, she has a comfortably classic alt/rock edge that sets her apart from everybody else.
