Description
Skinny Millionaires Live At Bull & Gate, London For OnlineTV
An absolute treat at the Bull & Gate to have hosted one of the best bands to bless its’ stage. When it comes to talent Skinny Millionaires is ripe with an abundance. While bands from Bull & Gate, like Keane, rocketed into the top music tier somehow a band with far more talent and musical acumen, incredible groups like, this fell by the wayside. There was no rhyme or reason for this. The Skinny Millionaires performed expansive musical exhibitions that wove a hypnotic tapestry of sound combined with soaring vocals from the musical genius of Dave Bickley.
Dramatic performance punctuated by extremely provocative songs, will surely intoxicate the body and soul. With Bickley leading a band of talented musicians your only option is to surrender to the melody and lyrics.
The wonder is how the Skinny Millionaires did not soar to the top of the charts or attract the needed energy and promotion of any record companies? Even though we broadcast several concerts from these amazing artists we did not see the forest from the trees. With 1000’s of bands recorded through the years on two continents somehow they were lost in the vast trove of musical treasures.
You can even find the Skinny Millionaires playing at the fabulous 12 Bar Club. The group was so profound it found they could play in many diverse clubs.
Who are Skinny Millionaires
After a chance meeting between Dave & Lee (who were old schoolmates), Dave set about putting a band together. He had, over recent times, put together a body of work, informed by various personal upheavals, frustration, anger & pain. Resulting in, as is often the case, some truly excellent songs.
