Description

Pout Live At Bull & Gate, London For OnlineTV

As I was encoding tapes I came across this tasty video. I really had no idea who this was and researching on the net through all the search engines provided nothing. Finally on the Bull and Gate facebook group I posted the video and asked. Within an hour someone got me right on the track and at least I found out this was Victoria Davies, also known as Tor Davies.

The funny thing is I curated this band without knowing a thing about them. I just saw it as Pout takes the Bull and Gate stage with well written songs and excellent stage presence with a front singer who carries the show and knows how to strut the stage when needed.. A really interesting show and I wanted to know all about them. There was nothing to find, not on the discography websites or search engines. Just what I finally found from Mick Mercer on the Bull and Gate forum, Mick Mercer also has a website where he does reviews.

Who are Pout

Ray Davies’ (from the Kinks) younger daughter with Rasa, Victoria, aka Tor Davies, was born in December 1968, three years after the birth of Louisa. Victoria is a musician and band artist, having started playing guitar at the age of 13. She has a rock band named Pout. The rest of the band lineup? I still have no idea. Neil Hawkins, the guitarist here said: “Hi Rick, brilliant archive mate. I was the guitarist in this band. Went on to play in a band The Hixville Six.”

Band Lineup:

Tor Davies – Vocals
Neil Hawkins – Guitar
Simon – Drums
Piers Kent – Bass
