When Nick took the stage at the fabulous 12 Bar Club in London’s famous Tin Pan Alley he was right there in the right place at the right time. Nick plays several tunes from a couple of his great past releases. In this set he shows off his wonderful jazz rapping style blending melodic vocals and the syncopation of beats rolling along from the musicians sitting in with him. A wonderful sound filled the room and for once, it was quiet as all punters were tuning into this fine example of total music.
Who is Nick Doyne-Ditmas
Nick Doyne-Ditmas is known in the film business for his work on All Roads Lead to Home. Nick Doyne-Ditmas today is Director at Nick Doyne-Ditmas Music Production London, Nick has been in the band Crackle, Monkey Puzzle Trio, The Bohemianauts, and V4V. But the best of theses sets can be found with these great solo shows from the 12 Bar Club, London. He is also known to work with Jazztronics with a sound mixing jazz, reggae, rock and electronica. The band includes Nick Doyne-Ditmas on guitar and trumpet, Ned Smith on keyboards, Wayne Taylor on keyboards and vocals and Vincent Wolfe on electronic drums. The band also perform with guest collaborators Tilley Hughes and Tom Challenger.
We do have another set from Aug 16, 2000 but there is just too much deterioration in the master tape so I am loathe to release it. I dont think there is one whole song that is not breaking up, scrambled or just plain a shame. It is a great set too as this master of music will just not leave a bad set in your head.
