Johan Dutch Band Live At Acme Underground, NYC For OnlineTV CMJ

Johan came to the Acme Underground for the CMJ Music Marathon with several other Dutch bands to give us a night with new flavors. With their own take on rock Johan rocked the stage and the songs were in English for the local crowd. Blazing guitar solos matched with great harmonies and sensible beats gives us a great look into Dutch rock interpretation.

Who are Johan

Johan came over with Daryll-Ann as a sort of Dutch rock band night. We are so lucky that we had bands from that night fill out releases and a form with all the band information. Without that we would have nothing to give to you as much of who and what they are has long disappeared. But Johan still tours and plays, so you can go to their website and watch for news.

Johan wins VPRO’s Song of the Year contest
Last night the results of the Song of the Year contest were announced, and Johan came out on top. A very good result indeed to end a very succesful 2001 for the band. Thanks to all the people who put Johan in their list and made them get this great result! http://www.excelsior-recordings.com/nl/
