CousteauX live at the 12 Bar Club

As they appeared Sep 7, 1999 for the OnlineTV.com broadcast. They packed the stage as well as the room! There was not enough room for all and some of the band were behind others and off stage. But the show did go on and it was a great set, if not a bit short at 23 minutes. But this is the earliest, before the US tour, and with the original lineup including Davey Ray Moor.

The small stage and intimate setting at the 12 Bar made the music more reachable as the fans were there at the feet of the stars. Their show was smooth. It was like a river floating along with the sound of crooner Liam McKahey who seems to be able to melt ice with the warmth of his vocals.

Cousteau first video recordings

We present, probably, the very first video of the band as they played the legendary 12 Bar Club .

Cousteau history

Cousteau was created by songwriter and piano man Davey Ray Moor, Cousteau also included lead vocalist Liam McKahey, guitarist Robin Brown, bassist Joe Peet (who also contributed violin), and drummer Craig Vear. The debut made quite a stir in the band’s London home base, and soon the independent effort was picked up by record labels.

From 1998 to 2005, Cousteau was a London-based independent pop band who enjoyed considerable international success, particularly in Italy and the U.S. This is, like most Ricks Music Archives, the earliest known video of the group and the complete concert has the songs from their debut release including their best known song “The Last Good Day of the Year.”

These days Liam and Davey are back and bad to the bone as CousteauX
