Johnny was one of my favorite artists. We met at the Spiral Lounge and I did a hell of a lot of video for him. He just loved my hand held videos. It is not easy doing those but they are the cream. This set was at the Acme Underground and was not hand held but on a fluid tripod and gets great results. Johnny hated when I billed him as “Blind Johnny Young” but that is really who he is. In fact, years later he appeared in an Alec Baldwin movie playing a blind musician!

Well, here is one of his whole sets and if you watch you would be hard put to think that Johnny Young was blind. Well tuned guitar and fine stage moves just belie reality.
