When Big Joan came to play the Bull & Gate no one was ready for what came next. They took the stage like the rising sun, as comfortable a fit as the best kid gloves. Powerful vocals from Annette Berlin accompanied by the perfect match of incredible musicians each carrying a sound that is playful as it is deadly.
Right from the start the band kicks in with a hard core rock beat, replete with driving percussion. Then Annette starts in and shows the vast talent she holds. Totally into the music you just cannot miss this act. If you did not catch them live before, here is your chance to go back in time when this kind of driving rock can take you. Damn good show! Maybe one day I can put a set list together? Who knows?

Who are Big Joan
Big Joan were a fabulous group starting out in South Hampton, UK and settled to Bristol, UK. They stopped creating around 2017 with a no more Big Joan show. But who knows? Perhaps one day we can coax them back to bring this special brand of music.
