Who are the Bastards Of Melody

Bastards of Melody are a New York City band with impossibly catchy songs, great melodies and intoxicating arrangements. With comparison to bands Big Star, Cheap Trick, Superdrag, The Figgs, and Sloan.

Bastards of Melody returned in 2021 with the Dover EP. The four song release includes tracks inspired by winsome bartenders (“Hey Charlene”), lost loves (“Faded”) and conversations to have after you’ve had that first — or maybe second — cup of coffee (When You Wake Up”).

The Bastards have released four previous albums: Keep It Down in 1999, Fun Machine in 2001, Break Up in 2003 and Hurry Up and Wait in 2010T. the band has toured across the US and Canada.

Bastards Of Melody Website which is a bit dated. And the links like for facebook do not work, probably got banned for being bastards. Hope I dont get banned for posting their song as profanity, and these days you just are not allowed to do as you please, think or want. They demand you become white bread homogenized so no one gets offended. Let’s see how this works out.

Links to Myspace, remember them? They are worthless too. I am not sure the contact works, but the site has a lot of good press write-ups.

Set List:

Well, they sort of fudged that a bit. All I got was Death Suite in D Minor and The Saddest Of All Keys. But I chose a song I liked, for the taster, and it turned out to be Fuck Wakin’ Up. So the set list they gave me was just a couple songs they might play, or not. That is how it works with bands playing the clubs. Very few can provide the set lists. But this choice I made just might get me banned everywhere. Hope not.
