Magnified Live At Spiral Lounge, NYC
With energy and power to spare Magnified took the stage for the first Apple Music Festival and were lucky enough to do this at Spiral Lounge where the OnlineTV Broadcast Network was the only one live streaming bands to the Internet. With great harmonies they stand apart from a typical grunge band and they give a great show with great song writing and play right to the audience. There were a lot more fans online than at the venue but they carried it off.
With a 30 minute set this glimpse of a great band from San Francisco playing to the New York City crowd is fantastic. As I sit here listening to the set I am right into it, tapping to the beat, and grooving to the melodies as they sing out to me. Crowds going wild this band has it all. Who are Magnified
Magnified was founded in SAN FRANCISCO BAY AREA in 1997 by Heavy Into Jeff vocalist Chris Lehmann and ex-My Life With The Thrill Kill Kult drummer Adam Aaronson. They made use of their partnership by echoing Heavy Into Jeff’s post-grunge power pop. Their lineup was filled out with guitarist Andy Shaw and bassist Mike Kelly. Magnified released their debut recording, Stand in Visitors, in 2000. It was this debut recording, Stand in Visitors, made with ex-Consolidated drummer Philip Steir, whose experience also carried out remixing and development for famous bands Bush, Live, and Chumbawamba. Appropriately, the recording reflected a determination to incorporate digital elements in to the band’s mainly organic, grungy pop.
