Bitcoin wallets run as a Bitcoin core are proprietary and you own them and their transaction history. Bitcoin Exchanges allow you to THINK you have your coins but whomever is the exchange have your coins. The coins in Exchanges are not yours really, they can be tracked, they can be stolen, they are open to governments under which the Exchange operates. They charge you money to do anything at all. They are the weakest links. So I am avoiding them. Your choice if you want to use them. I wont.
I am looking for a software plugin to help with this but so far have not found one that really does the job. The job being you giving me bitcoin and then me giving you the download links. The various systems vying for this kind of service want to get their hands in between the transaction charging 1 to 5% of the sale and that would mean you would have to be charged more. I have a full Bitcoin node running and can get the coins without charge and without middlemen. I dont need instant payment and can wait the minutes for the transaction to show up. That is how I would like to do it and hopefully you would like to do the same.

US government is doing the same to anyone who does not condemn Russia and block trade – like India, China, Bangladesh, Romania, Hungary, Brazil, Venezuela, Turkey, Chile and actually half the worlds population. Almost half and half – perfect divide to conquer.
Anyway, STAY AWAY FROM COINBASE! If you use them, or any of these thieving fakirs , get your money into a real wallet from Bitcoin Core or a hardware solution. NEVER let anyone control the keys to your crypto.
